Discover Inner Peace

Embrace Healing Today

About Leigh Ann

For over sixteen years, I’ve practiced a collaborative counseling approach built on trust, respect, and shared goals. Whether I’m working with individuals, couples, or children and their parents, we set the direction of therapy together and work side by side toward meaningful change.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and completed my graduate studies at St. Louis University. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I bring both clinical expertise and genuine compassion to my work, helping clients understand themselves more deeply and develop tools for lasting growth.

I encourage kindness and self-compassion as you navigate life’s challenges and learn new ways to solve problems. My natural enthusiasm for this work helps inspire hope and reminds clients that change is always possible. With empathy and honesty, I help clients recognize and release negative self-beliefs, build confidence, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.

REAL WORK...REAL CHANGE

“You don’t heal by escaping the hard stuff; you heal by walking straight through it — with support, honesty, and tools that actually work. I’m not the kind of therapist who nods and lets you stay stuck. I’ll challenge you, guide you, and remind you that peace is possible when you show up for yourself.”

Services

Individual

In individual therapy, you and I work together to better understand what’s getting in the way of your peace and fulfillment. Through honest conversation, practical strategies, and genuine support, we’ll identify patterns that no longer serve you and create healthier ways to cope and connect.

The goal isn’t perfection — it’s growth, self-awareness, and learning how to live in alignment with who you truly are.

Couples

Couples therapy is a space to slow down and truly listen — to yourself, to your partner, and to what your relationship needs to thrive. Together, we’ll work to rebuild trust, improve communication, and understand the patterns that keep you feeling disconnected or stuck.

My approach is collaborative and compassionate, helping each partner feel heard and supported while learning new ways to connect. With honesty and effort, it’s possible to move from conflict toward clarity, understanding, and deeper intimacy.

Family

Family therapy focuses on improving communication, understanding, and emotional connection within the family system. By exploring patterns, roles, and reactions, we’ll work toward resolving conflict, strengthening trust, and creating a sense of balance at home.

Whether addressing behavioral concerns, sibling conflict, or parenting challenges, my approach emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and skill-building — helping families grow together in a way that supports both individual and shared wellbeing.

Children

Children often communicate through their behavior when words don’t come easily. In therapy, I help kids and parents make sense of those behaviors — whether related to ADHD, oppositional patterns, sensory needs, or the challenges of being bright and emotionally intense.

Together, we focus on building emotional awareness, coping strategies, and healthy communication so your child feels more confident, understood, and capable of managing life’s ups and downs.

My Approach

Confidentiality

Confidentiality is a vital part of the therapeutic relationship. Everything you share in session is protected and treated with the utmost respect and privacy. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where you can speak openly, knowing that your information will remain confidential except in specific legal or ethical circumstances, which we will review together at the start of therapy.

Empathy

Empathy is more than understanding someone’s feelings — it’s the foundation of meaningful therapeutic connection. In every session, I work to meet you where you are, with genuine curiosity and compassion.

This connection fosters trust and openness, allowing us to explore difficult emotions and experiences safely. Through empathy, we can identify what you need to move forward and begin creating lasting, authentic change.

Personalized Care

Every person’s story is different, and so is the path to healing. My approach to therapy is highly personalized — shaped around your unique experiences, goals, and personality.

Together, we’ll explore what’s most important to you and develop strategies that feel natural and sustainable. Whether you prefer structure or reflection, practical tools or deeper insight, your therapy experience will be tailored to meet your individual needs and support your personal growth.

She translated what he couldn’t put into words and taught me how to respond with patience, empathy, and advocacy. Her expertise and heart changed everything for our family.”
“When I found out my son wasn’t biologically mine, my whole world fell apart. Leigh Ann helped me navigate the shock, grief, and anger without losing myself in it. She guided me through the family dynamics with compassion and clarity, helping me make sense of my emotions and find a way forward that felt honest and healthy. What can I expect during a therapy session?

From the moment you walk in, my goal is to help you feel comfortable, safe, and supported. You’ll find a space that feels more like home than an office — a comfy couch, a cup of tea, and an environment where you can exhale and just be yourself. In our sessions, we’ll talk about what brought you here, explore what you’d like to change or understand, and set goals together. Some days we’ll dive deep; other days we’ll focus on practical tools you can use right away. Therapy is a process — one built on trust, compassion, and honest conversation — and my role is to walk beside you as you discover what healing looks like for you.
